Is there such a thing as a “perfect advertisement?” If so, write a list of the top 3 (or top 5, top 10, top 12 etc.) elements a perfect ad must contain.
Instead of a list, you can produce an article series. Or a series of lists, each of them dealing with a different type of media (print ads, online ads, radio ads … you get the idea).
Don’t you think it’s possible to create a perfect ad? You can write about that too. If you want to avoid a too negative approach, tell your readers how they can make their ads get as close to perfection as humanly possible.
