Write about the Conficker worm (also known as Kido and Downadup). You can write a before/after type of article,  comparing the events taking place before and after the worm wakes up.

You may also write about the importance of Microsoft updates/Windows updates, since Conficker exploits a Microsoft Windows security issue.

Many people have been searching for information on “Conflicker virus,” “Conflicker patch,” “Conflict worm” and other wrong terms. Teach your readers the threat’s correct name—and the right ways to fight it, of course. Pointing them to effective Conficker removal tools is a great idea.

Computer security topics are so important, that it may be worth writing about them even when they aren’t directly related to your primary niche/industry.
