Starting today, let’s try a different type of nonfiction writing prompt: random idea sets. These are going to be especially useful for writers who keep general/miscellaneous blogs.
This doesn’t mean that only generalists can make use of random nonfiction ideas. Specialists too may find just what they need inside these posts. You’ll never know if you don’t try them, right?
So, that’s it: today all of the posts about article writing ideas/blogging ideas will contain randomly selected items. Tomorrow you’ll get again the usual niche-oriented writing prompts. But from now on I’ll also offer miscellaneous nonfiction ideas on a regular basis.
Here are the first random nonfiction writing prompts:
1. The Episcopal Diocese of Central Pennsylvania
2. Bourgtheroulde-Infreville
3. Crayola Fireworks Spectacular

This writing idea is perfect for music blogs, but may be used for stand-alone articles as well.
Make a mental list of awful singers and bands. Try to find out which of them have albums due for release this year. Now write a post/article predicting how awful said albums will be.
The beauty of this idea is that as each of those albums is brought out, you’ll have a new topic to write about. After all, you’ll want to compare their actual quality (or lack thereof) to your predictions.
Warning: if you don’t like controversy, forget about this idea.
